Burns Night at the Birgmatte 🥃🏴
On 24 January, the Refuge de la Birgmatte went Scottish for the evening as we celebrated our Burns Night!
For this evening of Scottish tradition and conviviality, we enjoyed the famous haggis with all its traditional accompaniments. And to make the occasion even more authentic, Bruno, our Vice-President, had even made real kilts for himself and the President! An outfit that certainly didn't go unnoticed. 😉
Of course, no Burns Night would be complete without a good Scottish whisky 🥃 and a tribute to the great Scottish poet Robert Burns. In keeping with tradition, his famous poem “Address to a Haggis” was recited before we sat down to eat.It was a wonderful, warm and original evening, full of good humour – a little journey to Scotland without ever having to leave the Birgmatte!

See you in 2027!The next Burns Night at the Birgmatte will take place on Saturday, 23 January 2027. If you would like to join us, reservations must be made by 1 January 2027 at the latest.
More information about the programme and how to book will follow soon. So, get your kilts ready and put the date in your diary! 🏴🥃
And for the more adventurous: you can even arrive at the Refuge de la Birgmatte on horseback! 🐴

Easter Celebration
Unfortunately, this year's Easter Celebration has already taken place...
Our traditional Easter event has now come to an end. The children enjoyed decorating their own bags or baskets before setting off on the Easter egg hunt around the Refuge de la Birgmatte.Good news!
You'll have another opportunity to join us next year. Come and enjoy a wonderful family day filled with creativity, games and delicious treats. We look forward to welcoming you to our next Easter Celebration!
